Architect / Engineer: unknown Constructed 1931 by the Southern Railway Building demolished. The former Hastings Station building was demolished in 2004 to make way for a new station building. Railtrack (as then was) actually obtained a immunity from listing for the station to prevent any last minute spot listing of the building hampering the redevelopment plan. The building was in the Modernist style of the 1930s and a simplified form of the more grander Margate and Ramsgate designs of the 1920s. |
